French: Today in french we did a practice quiz on our vocab in preparation for the french quiz Monday.
Art: Today in art we did a color blending exercise in which we tried to match a color we created to a color on a Home-depot color card.
Math: Today in math we did some silent reading. After that we talked about the possible job actions that may occur due to a conflict between the teachers union and the board of education.
Literacy: In literacy we went more in depth on the conflict between the teachers union and the board of education. We talked about how the union works and points of views of supporters of unions and the points of views of people who do not like unions.
Dance/Science: Instead of doing dance today we went to the science room and did a design challenge. In the design challenge we were asked to create a water filter that worked at the highest efficiency for the least cost.
Dance money due tomorrow.

Wednesday April 29
At Orienteering: Today we had the orienteering trip. We went to Christie conservation area and ran our races. After that we came back to school for the last 2 periods.
At school: Today at school was mostly a free-time day as most of our class was at orienteering. At the end of the day we had a fun run.
Dance money due Friday, 2 dollars per ticket.

Tuesday April 28
Math: Today in math we took up the Gauss quiz we did yesterday using the “explain everything” app on the iPad.
Gym: In gym we presented our yoga routines and handed in our yoga worksheet.
Literacy: Today in literacy we presented our book report proposals. Anyone who did not present today will be doing it tomorrow. The presentation must contain the name of the author, the book title, a synopsis of the plot and some background information about the author.
French: Today in french we reviewed our vocab and did a practice quiz on it. The actual quiz on the vocab will be Monday May 4th. We then did personage celebre to finish the class.

Monday April 27
Literacy: In the first period of literacy we discussed our plans for the rest of the year. After this some of us talked about our silent reading books. Then we were assigned a project in which we would write about our books for the book report. The project must contain the title of your book, the author, some background about the author and a synopsis of the plot of the book.
Science: Today in science we conducted an experiment in which we compared the properties of a penny and a copper wire.
Music: Today in music we used our devices to play interactive games on the website Kahoot.
Math: Today in math we did a practice Gauss contest which will be taken up tomorrow.
French: In french we did an activity where we created sentences that contained an être verb, an avoir verb and an irregular verb.
Dance money due Friday, 2 dollars for a ticket.

Health- In health class today, we did a worksheet of solving problems using the IDEAL problem solving model.
Literacy- In literacy class today, we watched some of the presentations of the abiding questions from the sustainable city project.
Math- In math class today we worked on solving a question from the gauss math contest.
French- In french class, we did some questions from the text book.
Library- In library class today, we worked on our art history boardgames. It is going to be due on the week of May 18th.
Remiders- The dance is next Friday. It’s $2 for a ticket. Money must be paid by next Friday.
French- In french class today we got our animal question sheets back. Then we reviewed the past tense of french verbs. Then we started a project were we write 3 sentaces using the past tense of verbs. 1 etre verb, 1 avoir verd, and 1 irregular verb. We will get more time next class to work on this.
Art- In art class today we worked on our Landscape Printing/Painting Blocks of Colour (construction paper) projects.
Math- In math class today we listen to a bunch of sound at different frequencys and talked about them. Then we took up the 2003 gauss test from yesterday.
Literacy- In literacy class today we some of the abiding questions presentations that were finished early. Then we talk about how the current marking system in middle school works. Then we got some time to work on our presentations.
Dance- In dance class today we went down to the science room and did some practice quizzing for ASC.
Reminders- Gum and iPod day is tomorrow. $1 dollar each.
